something new in the garden this year.
I remembered reading about this bean to my children in their dear little story book
The Flowers' Festival by Elsa Beskow.
Our family seems to gravitate to the garden in the evening.
Its offers a burst of newness each night, along with its beauty, and bounty.
My boys run in and out with their sword sticks and munch the peas while they dig dirt, chop things and find bugs. They each have their plants that are theirs to check on.
For my 3yo its his potatoes he begged to 'pwant'
and my 8yo's pride is the 2 ears of corn and 5 GIANT pumpkins in his 3 Sisters Plot.
DH has his heirloom tomatoes, and my eye's been on the beans.
I grew enough in my garden to make enough sandwiches for two. *grin*
That was fun. Thank you Jesus and compost.
I wonder what new inspiration next year's garden will hold.
Family garden evenings are the best.

2 hummingbirds zipped into the garden buffet yesterday!
